PINOY PRIDE XVII PHILIPPINES VS THE WORLD FEATURES 6 FILIPINOS AGAINST 6 FOREIGN OPPONENTS

PhilBoxing.com

On October 20, 2012 at the new and state of the art SM Mall Of Asia ARENA in Manila, Philippines, one of the biggest boxing shows in the Philippines will be featured.

Pinoy Pride XVII Philippines vs The World will showcase 6 Filipino ring warriors against 6 fighters coming from 6 different nations, the first ever boxing event of this caliber in recent years.

Leading Team Philippines will be WBO world # 1 bantamweight AJ ?Bazooka? Banal who will try to capture his 1st world title, the vacant WBO Bantamweight belt relinquished by Hall of Fame bound Jorge Arce of Mexico. Banal will be facing the tough WBO world # 2 ranked fighter in Pungluang Sorsingyu of Thailand.

Boxing analysts and experts see this fight as Aj Banal?s surest ticket at being world champion but Sorsingyu has other plans in mind issuing a statement that e will be going after Banal the whole night to knock him out for the title.

One of the more popular Filipino fighters and current IBF # 4 Featherweight Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista will also banner the Philippine flag during his Philippines vs The World match-up against the hard-charging and heavy-hitting Mexican warrior Daniel ?Canerito? Ruiz. Bautista will be gunning for a win to move him up further the world rankings but Ruiz will be a tough obstacle to clear, as he will be pressuring Bautista the whole night bringing with him his high and dangerous 57.58% KO ratio.

Both fighters will be fighting for the vacant WBO International Featherweight title that may bring them as high as number 5 in the WBO rankings.

This boxing fist-fest will be a night of firsts as newly crowned WBO International Light Welterweight Champion Jason ?El Nino? Pagara who is fresh from a revenge win over Mexico?s Rosbel Montoya will likewise have his hands full for this first ever world championship boxing at the SM Mall Of Asia ARENA as he is set to defend his title for the first time against undefeated Miguel ?Hands of Stone? Antoine of Barbados.

Pagara has been busy training nonstop the past months as he immediately went into training right after his most recent win while Antoine is sure and very focused on not letting this opportunity of beating a known champion in Pagara to improve his resume as a fighter.

Three other Filipino fighters will likewise see action against foreign opposition when Michael ?Bruce Lee? Domingo goes up against former Universal Boxing Organization Super Flyweight Champion Mudde Ntambe Rabison, the surging Marlon ?Nightmare? Tapales against Indonesian Bantamweight Champion RASMANUDIN and Manila?s Randy Bullong going up against Kazuma Ejiri of Japan.

Grandson of legend Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde, Juan Martin Elorde will also be fighting in the undercard against Gerry Sismundo while curtain raisers will be Arjan Canillas of Toledo City, Cebu vs Jake Sawangin of Metro Manila.
