MANSOUR AND BALLO MAKE WAVES WITH UNPRECEDENTED OPEN WORKOUT ABOARD CITY CRUISES ADMIRAL HORNBLOWER AHEAD OF SD FIGHT NIGHT: FAMILY BUSINESS PhilBoxing.com Sat, 04 Apr 2026 ![]() “SD Fight Night: Family Business” at Frontwave Arena Saturday, April 18 Tickets on Sale Now at AXS.com Broadcast Details Revealed | PPV Telecast Begins 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT OCEANSIDE, Calif. (April 2, 2026) – In what organizers are calling the first open workout of its kind in professional boxing, San Diego rising stars and cousins Jonny Mansour and Julius “JuJu” Ballo hosted over 500 guests aboard the City Cruises Admiral Hornblower on Tuesday, March 31. The up-and-coming boxing stars treated fans, media, and celebrity guests to a one-of-a-kind boxing workout experience set against the stunning backdrop of the downtown San Diego skyline and San Diego Bay to promote their upcoming SD Fight Night: Family Business event on Saturday, April 18, at the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, Calif. The unique on-the-water event drew a star-studded crowd that included NFL veterans Tony Jefferson, Andre Reed, Alshon Jeffery, Koa Misi, and Dez Patmon, all of whom turned out in support of the two undefeated San Diego prospects as they continue their ascent through the professional ranks. April 18 undercard fighters Angel Munoz, Frankie Garcia, Angel Estrada, John Ornelas, Daniel Morales, and Richard Fernandez also joined the workout, adding even more electricity to the already-buzzing nautical atmosphere. “Having 500-plus people out on the water with us was something I’ll never forget,” said Mansour. “The energy was absolutely electric, and having NFL legends like Andre Reed and Alshon Jeffery there to show their support meant the world to me and JuJu. We’re bringing that same energy into April 18, and San Diego is going to see exactly why we built this event the way we did. The city has our back, and we’re going to deliver on fight night.” “I’ve been to a lot of events, but nothing compares to what we experienced on that ship,” said Ballo. “Being out there on the water with the city behind us, surrounded by our community, that’s what G2G Promotions is all about. We’re building something special in San Diego. Everyone who came out Tuesday is going to want to be at Frontwave on April 18, because Jonny and I are going to put on a show that this city will be talking about for a long time.” NEW: With momentum building, SD Fight Night: Family Business will be distributed throughout North America by Integrated Sports Media via all major cable outlets and DISH in the United States, as well as leading digital platforms including Bash.tv, PPV.com, TrillerTV, and Fubo. The PPV telecast begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with the first bout of the evening at 5 p.m. PT. “We are not here to do one show, we are here to build a real fight series in San Diego,” said Frontwave Arena CEO Josh Elias. “When you see what G2G pulled off on the Admiral Hornblower—bringing over 500 fans out on the water for a boxing workout like nothing the sport has seen—you understand exactly what they’re building here. The fact that G2G and Frontwave Arena are both promoters shows how serious we are. This is a long-term investment in the sport, the fighters, and the city. Frontwave Arena is going to be the home for this series, and we are all in on making San Diego a true boxing market again.” Now with their first-of-its-kind promotional event in the books, Mansour and Ballo set their sights squarely on April 18 as a double main event. In a six-round super featherweight fight, JuJu Ballo (2-0), a 2024 Golden Gloves Champion, will square off against Santa Ana, Calif. native Roman Reyes (6-1, 5 KOs) in what promises to be another statement victory on home soil. Meanwhile, eight-time National Champion Jonny Mansour (6-0, 2 KOs) will take on William King (6-3-2, 3 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight match.
