Pagcalinawan.
Montreal, Canada - The newest face in Filipino Boxing makes his professional debut tomorrow successfully passed his medicals and weigh in credentials for his fight against Gerald Audate at the CCSE Maisonneuve. Marc Pagcaliwangan weighed in at 124.8lbs, his opponent Gerald Audate weighed in at 123.6lbs for their 126lb bout.

Gerald Audate who is from the Montreal area was in familiar territory, he is a boxer from the famous TriStar Gym where Canada?s MMA Superstar Georges St. Pierre trains out of. Audate trained one month straight for his fight against Pagcaliwangan and traveled to different gyms for his sparring. He fought last 7 months ago and is well prepared for this fight.

The encounter between Marc Pagcaliwangan and Gerald Audate was a pleasant one, the two prized fighters were happy to see each other and exchange pleasantries briefly. Tomorrow it will be all business as Audate stated that he will do what he has to do against Pagcaliwangan in the ring. There was no adversity during their stare down, just smiles and a warm friendly handshake.

Marc Pagcaliwangan was focused, relaxed and at ease at the weigh in event, the same can be said about Gerald Audate. Both waited patiently for a couple of hours before the official weigh in and medicals started at Club de Boxe L?Est.

Marc Pagcaliwangan was accompanied by both of his Coaches Socrates Celestial and Lawrence Boom who will be in his corner for his first fight. Pacaliwangan?s Manager Mark Erwin of Win Sports Management and Adam Harris, Directory of Hennessy Sports Canada were also present to insure that their young and highly coveted prospect makes his transition to Professional Boxing smoothly as they are both highly anticipating the unleashing of ?Gwapo? for the boxing world to see.

There will be close to 100 Marc Pagcaliwangan fans, some driving up to 7 hours from London Ontario to Montreal to be with the young Filipino Canadian phenom. What incredible support and anticipation for a young boxer waiting to show what he can do.

Coach Socrates Celestial commented that Marc represents a new era for Filipino Boxers; Together we have the opportunity to fight and represent our people in new territories where Filipinos has not fought before and set a new foot print in boxing. Marc heads into this fight in tremendous shape, he has been starving for this moment, it is almost here.

Marc Pagcaliwangan and his coach Socrates Celestial was recently featured in Strong Athlete On Line Magazine which has an exclusive video interview with the 3 time Golden Gloves Champion.
