JACK ASIS TO FIGHT UNDEFEATED THAI STAR MAXSAISAI LORKHAM
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 13 Sep 2012

Rising Philippine star Jack ?The Assassin? Asis, who now fights out of Smithy?s Gym in Toowoomba, is set to take on the undefeated Thai Maxsaisai Lorkham as the main event on the ?Smithy Brings the big fights 2? card on October 19 at Rumours International Toowoomba.
In what will no doubt be an action packed fight, Maxsaisai who is yet to taste defeat from 14 fights as a professional will be coming to Australia to keep his undefeated record in tact. However, Asis has been on a roll of late, winning his last 5 fights, 4 by KO against two Australian Champions and highly regarded international opponents.
This could also be the beginning of a fairytale for Asis who if he gets through this fight with a win, will move to be the mandatory challenger for the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation featherweight title and a huge step toward a world title.
However that OPBF title is currently held by Japanese superstar Hiroshige Osawa and a win in this upcoming fight in Toowoomba could also mark the last time Asis fights on Australian soil, unless Asis? team are able to lure the Japanese fighter down under.
What is certain though is that Asis and his trainer Brendon Smith, are not looking past the danger posed in their upcoming fight Maxsaisai.
?There is a reason he is undefeated,? said trainer Brendon Smith.
?He is a tough fighter and a good boxer who is hungry to win and this will be another great test for Jack who will have to be on his game 100% to win this fight?.
