SULAIMAN PERSONALLY REQUESTED CUELLO TO MAKE WAY FOR HISTORIC FIRST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT IN CHINA

PhilBoxing.com

Denver Cuello-Singwangcha has been working hard and bulldozed all opponents placed in front of him in order to climb to WBC's top spot. He has fought two world title eliminators and should have been declared regular champion following Kazuto Ioka's relinquishing of the WBC Strawweight Belt. But things do not happen according to plans at times. And this time Cuello-Singwangcha has to wait till December to get his break at the world title belt.

According to Denver's Trainer-Manager Aljoe Jaro, "Don Jose Sulaiman is on his last year as WBC President and the organization is Celebrating its 50th year in existence. The WBC has been working hard to bring itself to China which is a great potential for the professional boxing market. Don Jose personally requested Denver through Me to wait for another three months and make way for the first historic world championship fight between the first Chinese major title holder Xiong Zhao Zong who currently holds the WBC Silver Light Flyweight Belt versus world rated Javier Martinez of Mexico. Don Jose is desperate in realizing this great legacy of producing the first Chinese champion and staging the first world title bout in China before he retires as President."

"It was a very difficult decision to make for Denver and Me as his manager. We have been working our asses off for years just to reach this spot and deserve a crack at the world title. We believed Denver should be automatic regular champ when Ioka announced his relinquishing of the WBC belt. We have always been ready to fight for the biggest break of Denver's career. But how can we ever refuse the request of Don Jose. We have always been loyal to the WBC and Don Jose has treated us nicely and has always been been fair in our past dealings. We have to set aside our eagerness and sacrifice three months in order to give way for the organization's bigger objective. Denver can beat anybody at 105 lbs, all we have to do is wait for three more months."

"We have been offered a fair step aside fee and Denver will go and defend his silver belt in September. He will face the winner of the China fight and will be at ringside when Zong and Martinez squares it off in Kunming, China. There has been a formal agreement between Denver, WBC and the China Promoters. Things have been laid down in black and white. They granted all our conditions just to pursue this fight. We held the cards. The WBC cannot proceed with the fight if we did not agree. But we owe a lot of things to the WBC. We had to agree to a win-win deal and we did it."

"We hope our fellow Filipino boxing fans and supporters will not think that this is a matter of greed. It is undeniable that boxing is also a business. A huge business as a matter of fact. The WBC has bigger plans and we cannot serve as hindrance to those plans. We only have to wait for a little more time. Don Jose has always made good his promises in the past, there is no reason we should not trust him this time. Don Jose and Mauricio has been been good friends to us. Sometimes we should value good friendship."

Right now, Denver is on training camp for his Silver Title Defense. Canelo promotions is working whether He will fight in Mexico or in the undercard of the Alvarez vs Lopez fight on September 15 in Las Vegas. We shall keep you fans updated once the fight has been finalized. (PR - JARO PROMOTIONS)
