PhilBoxing.com

Featuring some of the country?s top young prospects, ALA Promotions? 41st edition of its? flagship program, Pinoy Pride airs twice after its live event on July 8th.

Current WBO International Featherweight champion Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo headlines the card as he defends his title against Nicaragua?s #2 Super Featherweight, Daniel ?El General? Diaz, while RP #1 Jeo ?Santino? Santisima takes on the undefeated Super Bantamweight champion of Tanzania, Goodluck Mrema, in a 10-round super bantamweight clash for the co-main event.

Comebacking ?Prince? Albert Pagara leads the strong undercard lineup, as former world title challenger Melvin ?Gringo? Jerusalem and former amateur standouts KJ Cataraja and Junrel Jimenez join him, alongside Esneth Domingo and Jino Macapobre.

Pagara, ranked #12 by the WBO Featherweight division, is scheduled for the featured 10-round featherweight battle against former IBF Pan Pacific featherweight champ Aekkawee Kaewmanee from Thailand. In the minimumweight division, Bukidnon native Jerusalem faces off with Joey Canoy of Mandaue City. In flyweight bouts, Cebu City former amateur standouts KJ Cataraja and Junrel Jimenez take on Lony Cadayday from General Santos City and Cebuano Margarito Moya respectively, while Esneth Domingo of Sultan Kudarat fights John Kennan Villaflor of Cebu City, and Jino Macapobre from Toledo City trades blows with Rolien Getalada of Carmen, Cebu.

Abs-cbn Sports has announced it will feature the main fights on new time slots: Channel 2 Sunday after the fight, July 9, at 3:30pm, while its sports channel, Abs-cbn S+A will air the full fight on the same day at 8 in the evening.

Channel 2 regularly covers the main and co-main fights for Pinoy Pride shows; depending on the outcome of both fights or when there?s an early stoppage in either, a third bout is included, which usually shows the featured fight of a card.

The live event for Pinoy Pride 41: New Generation Warriors takes place at the IEC Convention Center in Mabolo, Cebu City on July 8, at 6pm.
