4 unbeaten Sanman fighters train in US PhilBoxing.com Sat, 03 Jun 2017 ![]() These four boxers from Sanman Boxing Gym in General Santos City have yet to taste defeat in what has been a sterling start to their professional careers. And from the looks of it, Reymart Gaballo, Mike Plania, John Vincent Moralde and Harmonito Dela Torre are only going to get better after they were sent to the United States (US) for a much-needed training. The four boxers have already arrived in Miami, Florida and have started training under Moro Fernandez, the former Cuban national team trainer. Jim Claude Manangquil, chief executive officer (CEO) of Sanman Promotions, said Fernandez is the perfect choice to help sharpen his wards' arsenals. "Moro Fernandez is a very good trainer. He is a product of the legendary program of the Cuban national team. He trained Yuriorkis Gamboa, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Luis Ortiz and many more. I believe he will make the boys become world champions," said the youthful boxing promoter. Manangquil is confident that the US training will serve well for the four boxers. "Training in the US is a big advantage because there are great trainers and sparring partners there," added Manangquil, who added that the four boxers will be more visible in the US in the future. "They have P1 US visas now, so the next few years, they will be spending most of their time in the US," said Manangquil. The training will be until December but before returning home, the four boxers will get a rare opportunity of showcasing their skills in the US. "Whatever they learn in the training will be tested immediately as we plan to have them fight twice or thrice before they go home," Manangquil said. They may still be in the process of acquiring more knowledge, the four Sanman fighters already possess sterling credentials. Dela Torre (19W-0L-0D, 12KOs) is the WBF World super featherweight champion, Gaballo (16W-0L-0D, 14KOs) is the WBC Asia superbantamweight king, Moralde (19W-0L-0D, 10KOs) is the WBC Asia featherweight champion, while Plania (14W-0L-0D, 7KOs) owns WBF International bantamweight title.### ![]() PHOTO: From left to right: Daniel Quirolo, Harmonito Dela Torre, Mike Plania, John Vincent Moralde, Reymart Gaballo, Moro Fernandez and Lozoro Jimenez. ![]() |
