RESULTS FROM BORBON, CEBU

Jason Canoy of the Omega Boxing Gym of Cebu won by TKO in the first round against Arlon Batingal in the main event of a fight card held at the Borbon Sports Complex in Borbon, Cebu last Saturday.
A punch from Canoy inflicted a cut on Batingal's eyelid and the stoppage of the fight was recommended by GAB physician Dr. Jose Unabia at 2:28 of the round. Canoy improves to 16W-3L-2D, 11 KO's and he won a Philippine Boxing Federation belt for his effort. Batingal drops to 7W-6L, 4 KO's.
For the supporting bouts, Jessie Cris Rosales beat Ronnie Lino by unanimous decision in 10 rounds, Junie Salogaol won by TKO in the fifth round against Rodel Sungkit, Jordan Catubay won by TKO in the fifth round against Robert Awetin, Arnel Caoktoy beat Louie Saguisa by unanimous decision after 6 rounds, Salatiel ?Pakyaw? Amit won over Roger Libres by third round TKO and Brandon Tavares beat Gary Rojo by TKO in the third round.
This card was promoted by IPI/Omega Promotions in cooperation with the Municipality of Borbon. The fights were supervised by Celso Miranda and Rolando Mendoza of GAB-Cebu.
