Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan vs Kyle McNeil Not Sanctioned for Dec. 14

PhilBoxing.com

Toronto, Canada - The complexities and variables with sanctioning a fight in boxing can certainly make or break a fight. As the news broke here in Philboxing regarding Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan?s high stakes high rewards fight against Kyle McNeil, it didn?t take long for the rumor mill to start turning as daylight broke in Atlantic Canada.

This time around, after verifying with the powers that be and the chain of command responsible for approving the opening Pagcaliwangan vs McNeil fight for ?The Fast and The Furious? card in Montreal, those rumors ended up to be the truth after all.

Obviously this writer and Pagcaliwangan?s manager Mark Erwin from Win Sports Management has not been updated with the outcome of what has transpired with the Quebec Athletic Commission regarding the sanctioning process of the Pagcaliwangan vs McNeil fight. We were both in for an awakening yesterday morning as the status of this fight which both sides looked forward to became uncertain. Ultimately, Quebec Athletic Commission did not sanction the fight. An unfortunate circumstance as both boxers and their fans were looking forward to this showdown of Provincial Champions.

The Quebec Athletic Commission has the final say on who steps in the ring. For whatever reasons the commission concluded, there is nothing that the management, promoters and matchmaker of both Pagcaliwangan and McNeil can do when their fight was not sanctioned, it is what it is. By this time, both sides has accepted the change and as consummate professionals, training remains seamless and business is as usual for both Pagcaliwangan and McNeil as they look forward to their next fight whoever the opponent maybe. The present ?To Be Announced? status for both boxers must now be considered as a deep breath of fresh air to rejuvenate your lungs after a healthy morning workout.

Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan is still scheduled to fight on December 14th in ?The Fast and The Furious? Card promoted by GYM (Groupe Yvon Michel) and co-promoted by Hennessy Sports Canada. Adjustments are being made at great lengths to seek another quality opponent that will give Marc Pagcaliwangan a great fight. Based on the events that have transpired over the last few weeks in the boxing world, there has been other boxers that has encountered uncertain opponents for various reasons, Pagcaliwangan and McNeil were not the only fight that has been nixed.

As time goes on the demand for a Pagcaliwangan vs McNeil fight may increase exponentially. This temporary set- back may end up as short term pain for long term gains in the future. This fight can be renegotiated, rescheduled and relocated if necessary. For the record and let it be known to the boxing world that it was Team Pagcaliwangan who approached Kyle McNeil and his representatives for the fight; when you come knocking, you cannot turn back.

The Filipino Canadian Boxer Coach tandem Marc Pagcaliwangan and Socrates Celestial continues with 10 days of training camp left. Due to the intense training regimen and quality of sparring partners they are working with, they are optimistic and look forward to their next opponent, whoever it maybe.
