Pagara is now placed in an unfamiliar position being the underdog for his upcoming fight. Montoya on the other hand has won and defended the WBC FECOMBOX Light Welterweight title since his domination of the Filipino Pagara last year. When offered the fight, Montoya and his team did not have second thoughts of giving Pagara the rematch and signed the contract immediately.
