PAGARA GEARS UP TO A REMATCH WITH FORMER CONQUEROR

PhilBoxing.com

Once considered to be the next big thing in Philippine boxing because of his dazzling performances and powerful KO wins, Philippine boxing prospect Jason ?El Nino? Pagara is now placed in an unfamiliar position being the underdog for his upcoming fight.

A rematch with his Mexican conqueror Rosbel Montoya who shamed the youngster Pagara, then 20 years young in front of his countrymen and broadcast internationally will be the main plot of ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports? Pinoy Pride XV: Philippines vs Mexico THE REMATCH.

Pagara, W 28 (KO 17) L 2 D 0 took time off after that fateful loss and re-assessed everything. In a recent interview, the former WBO Asia Pacific Junior Welterweight Champ said ?I am not the type to reason. I made a mistake by taking things lightly. I had to deal with personal difficulties with family and I was off focus. I also thought I had everything figured out because I then felt I had my power to rely on. I paid dearly for it.?

?EL Nino? as he was blessed because of his boyish looks also added that ?I have put everything in the past now and I am very highly motivated. I want to prove not to anyone but myself that I can do it and can improve myself for my family?s sake. I am preparing myself to be the best fighter I can be for my rematch with Montoya and I will do all I can to win.?

Pagara has been training for the past months as he only took a couple of weeks off after his last fight that was March of this year against Indonesian Frans Yarangga that Pagara destroyed in 2 rounds.

Montoya on the other hand has won and defended the WBC FECOMBOX Light Welterweight title since his domination of the Filipino Pagara last year. When offered the fight, Montoya and his team did not have second thoughts of giving Pagara the rematch and signed the contract immediately.

This highly anticipated rematch and co man feature of Pinoy Pride XV:Philippines vs Mexico THE REMATCH is a proud presentation of ALA Promotions, ABS-CBN Sports. This is also supported by Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, SM City Cebu, SM City Consolacion, SM Supermalls, SM Tickets.

SM Tickets for Pinoy Pride XV: The Rematch will also be made available in othe outlets like the Waterfront Cebu hotel and Casino, Mooon Caf? at the I.T. Park in Cebu, Bisaya Ispisyal and USA Sports outlets, Gaisano Tabunok, ALA Boxing and Fitness Gym at the Banila Town Center Cebu and at the ALA Promotions Head Office with Numbers 032 2364611.
