LOS ANGELES, CA (May 17, 2006) Filipino superstar MANNY "PACMAN" PACQUIAO, and Mexican buzz saw OSCAR "CHOLOLO" LARIOS will hold a news conference luncheon This Friday! May 19, in the Avalon Room on the third floor of The Westin Bonaventure Hotel (404 South Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90071) beginning at 11:30 A.M. PT, to announce their 12-round super featherweight championship fight. Pacquiao and Larios will go mano-a-mano in the historic Araneta Coliseum, which hosted Ali-Frazier III -- "The Thrilla in Manila" -- nearly 31 years ago.
Pacquiao, 41-3-2 (32 KOs), a world champion in three different weight divisions, will be defending his WBC International super featherweight title and mandatory challenger position against former world champion and current No. 1 contender Larios, 56-4-1 (36 KOs), Saturday, July 1 (Sunday, July 2 in The Philippines) in the main event of a card which will be televised live on Pay-Per-View in the United States through In-Demand, beginning at 9 P.M. ET / 6 P.M. PT from The Philippines.
