Wardley vs Dubois: Heavyweight Tussle in Manchester By Chris Carlson PhilBoxing.com Sat, 09 May 2026 ![]() Fabio Wardley goes to battle with Daniel Dubois this Saturday in Manchester, England at the Co-op Live Arena. After 3 impressive victories in a row, Daniel Dubois attempts to bounce back from a knockout loss in his rematch versus lineal heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk. Fabio Wardley looks to add another quality win to his resume in what appears to be his toughest challenge to date. On paper is one thing but as boxing fans know, a fighter must prove it in the ring. This event will be live streaming on DAZN PPV and available to DAZN Ultimate subscribers. Every loss of Daniel Dubois career has come via stoppage. Hence, the betting odds for the matchup are calling for a knockout ending. Even in some fights Dubois ended up winning he was in trouble and taking lots of punishment. Kevin Lerena had Daniel down three times in the first round. Filip Hrgovic couldn’t miss with his right hand as Dubois bullied his way inside eventually getting the ko. Dubois stuck Anthony Joshua to the canvas but got hit with flush punches right before that. To be fair, Justis Hunni was up on the judge’s scorecards before Fabio Wardley stopped him. Wardley had issues with Frazer Clarke in their first meeting only to end things early in the rematch. Also, another item to ponder is the level of competition being much lower for Wardley when compared to Dubois. The point being both men have fought their way through adversity, something they will surely face in the ring on Saturday. This fight comes down to whichever boxer can find a path to victory. It won’t be pretty, but it has to be effective. Like my guy Matt Brown, Co-Host/Writer for Brunch Boxing says of anticipated heavyweight matchups. There’s going to be big beefy men bumping meat. In other words, these big dudes aren’t afraid to get in a tussle and let it all hang out. One part ugly and sloppy mixed with two-way action that will have boxing junkies screaming for more. This is a 50-50 fight, so let’s break down the betting odds. Moneyline has Wardley –110 up to –127 and Dubois a slight underdog can be found from +100 up to +110. By decision Wardley is +600 and Dubois is +500. By stoppage Wardley +125 and Dubois +165. This boxing podcaster best bet is Wardley straight up on the money line. Fabio is fresher and still on the way up the ladder, and it appears Daniel is on the downslide. Regardless, let’s hope this fight produces entertainment. My Official Prediction is Fabio Wardley by stoppage. Leo is rightfully favorite, but we can’t count out Aleem. As a live dog, Aleem is slated from +165 up to +182. My best bet is Leo –135 by decision, and that’s my official prediction as well.
