Batawang KO's foe; Abapo-Saluday a draw!

Bert Batawang returned to the winning track, demolishing Noel Veronque last night at the 1:21 of the second round in the mainer of the "Bakbakan sa Brgy. Paltok" in Quezon City.
In the co-mainer, RP junior welter champ Bart Abapo figured in a split draw with Christopher Saluday in the 10-round non-title affair.
Abapo will next vie for the PABA 140-lb crown against reigning champ Daudy Bahari in Singapore on June 15.
Other results: Ex-RP bantam champ Johnny Lear by unanimous decision over Daniel Diolan; Sherwin Paro by majority decision over Roberto Rubillar; Ruther Del Castillo by unanimous verdict over Roel Lagonero and Michael Correa by unanimous nod over Max Orcajada.
