Bohol mall is venue for Apr. 30 card PhilBoxing.com Wed, 19 Apr 2006 SGG Sports Promotion with the cooperation of the City Government of Tagbilaran headed by the inimitable Mayor Dan Neri Lim presents another boxing extravaganza on April 30, 2006 at the Island City Mall car park, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Slated as ?CARPARK BOXING AT ISLAND CITY MALL,? this boxing showdown will feature the country?s young and upcoming pugilists. Headlining will be RP No. 1 Flyweight contender Robert Allanic who will trade mitts with Saensak Singmanassak from Thailand. Fresh from a unanimous win last March 18 against journeyman Roberto Rubillar, this is Allanic?s first time to climb the ring against a foreign opponent. Co-heading the event will be Bohol?s very own, AJ Banal, who is fighting Thai Bangsaen Sithpraprom. An undefeated and former amateur standout, Banal, boasts of an immaculate record with 5 wins, 4 of which by way of knockout. In his last outing last March 18 at the Mandaue Sports Complex, Banal impressed boxing fans by knocking out Thai Dechapol Bankluaygym in the first round. Completing the fight card will be former amateur Gold medalist Rey Caitom and 2-time Palarong Pambansa Gold Medalist Milan Melindo. Caitom will be facing Roldan Malinao and Amirro Ricablanca respectively. Also, former Philippine boxing team members Mark Jason Melliguen, Frank Albia and Lito Jalnaiz will showcase their boxing skills in the undercard. Two-time National Youth Open Gold Medalist Frank Albia and Arafura Games ? Australia Silver Medalist Lito Jalnaiz will climb the ring in their second professional bouts. Albia will face Davao City?s Brix ?Bomb? Ray while Jalnaiz will face Jessie Albaracin. Making his professional debut, two-time SEA Games medalist Mark Jason Melliguen will face Cebu?s Rolan Malunhao. Other supporting bouts will feature Rasheid Bacus, AEV Stable?s Rex Malibago and Rogen Flores. They will be fighting their counterparts Argie Marapao, Daryl Amoncio and Rey Taguibalos respectively. ?We are giving a chance for these young boxers to shine ? we don?t know, they might become world contenders in the near future,? enthuses Tagbilaran Mayor Dan Neri Lim. ?
