SOR VEERAPOL VS FROILAN SALUDAR: FIREWORKS IN THE MAKING

PhilBoxing.com

Froilan Saludar.

Bangkok, Thailand ? In what should be an intriguing fight for the Philippines, Leimpetch Sor Veerapol of Thailand who had multiple experience in regional bouts against respected opponents in the Orient said that he is out to avenge his loses in the Philippines.

Sor Veerapol, who has inked to fight Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar on February 19 in Imus Cavite for the WBO Youth flyweight world title, has vowed that this time it will be war and he will come out on the winner side as translated by Veerapol's representative, Mr. Michael Do.

In our interview with Veerapol, he said that on the fight with Johnreil Casimero and Marvin Sonsona he took the fight in a last minute notice and did not prepare well however, he performed very well against these Filipino prospects even though he was only 50 percent ready, added Do.

?With the case with Brian Viloria, we were prepared but were overconfident however we gave the two time former World Champion 7 difficult rounds. Our mistake was we got careless that gave Viloria chance to counter my boxer with a body shot?, said his trainer Mr. Do.

Veerapol said through his interpreter that on this fight February 19th at Imus Cavite, it is a must win for him. The boxer said, ? I want to avenge all the losses I had against Casimero, Sonsona and Viloria? I want that WBO Youth World crown in my country Thailand , said Veerapol.

Veerapol had been training for three months and recently scored a spectacular knockout, destroying Chatchai Monthon Gym on January 28th in just one explosive round that left the opponent down on the canvas for minutes.

This was the same Chatchai Monthon Gym who went the distance against former WBC Jr. Flyweight champion Yo Sam Choi. The Trainer Mr. Do said, now we are ready for Saludar, I assure you that it will be a great fight and that his boxer will surely prevail as the next World Boxing Organization Youth Flyweight champion.

The anticipation of knowing that Froilan Saludar who also scored back to back knock-out against proven formidable opponents, proves to be a very intriguing fight against Thailand?s Veerapol. It should be a slam bang affair this coming February 19th.

Will Saludar's unblemished 10win-0 loss with 7 knock-outs and 100 plus amateur fights prevail against the more experienced Thai youth with a whopping 29 professional fights that includes battles against top contenders who went on to win world titles?

Will Saludar be the new prospect in the making who will be in the verge of being the successor of our now current world champions in the Philippines?

We will find this out this coming February 19th, the stage is set and Imus, Cavite fight fans will surely be treated to a spectacular event as they would be expecting no less than a knock-out. We all do hope that Saludar did not take too much on his plate against a more experienced foe this early in his career.

However, if Saludar ends up victorious, it should be a great beginning of another prize fighter on the verge of greatness if he gets past Thailand's Leimpecth Sor Veerapol, to win the WBO Youth world flyweight crown.
