BOOM BOOM HEADLINES PUBLIC SPARRING AT PARK MALL
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 06 Jan 2011

ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports will be holding a pre-event public sparring session for the first mega boxing event of 2011 PINOY PRIDE 3: THE REMATCH at the Piazza, Park Mall 5 PM on Saturday January 8, 2011.
This public sparring session is part of the dynamic corporate duos promotional campaign for the highly anticipated grudge rematch of last year?s controversial fight outcome between the Philippines? Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista vs Mexico?s Alejandro Barrera.
The first meeting between the two warriors ended in a debatable technical knock-out win going Bautista?s way due to a cut suffered by Barrera in the middle rounds where the Mexican's camp protested believing it was caused by a head butt. Displeased, the Barrera camp immediately demanded for a rematch which they got months after the infamous August fight.
This match-up has the makings of a classic as both fighters have different motivations coming into the fight. With Barrera thinking it is his just and rightful revenge and Bautista out to validate his victory, a war at the Waterfront is bound to occur.
Joining Bautista at the Park Mall this Saturday will be two of the Philippines fast rising stars in lightweight Jason Pagara and 19 year old newly crowned PABA Bantamweight Super Champion Roli Gasca both of the ALA Gym Cebu.
This pre event sparring session is also presented to you by the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, SM City Cebu, the Cebu City Government headed by honorable Mayor Michael Rama, Y101 Fm Always First and Park Mall.
PINOY PRIDE 3: THE REMATCH will be staged at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on January 29, 2011 6PM and is brought to you by ALA Promotions and the Philippines leading television network giant ABS-CBN Sports.
