ALA PROMOTIONS OPENS 2011 WITH A BANG
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 06 Jan 2011
One of Asia?s biggest boxing promotional outfits, ALA Promotions will be treating the Philippines most loyal boxing fans with a triple treat on the first month of 2011.
Never has a Philippine boxing promotions company has done such a feat of putting three major boxing events in one month.
ALA Promotions has recently established a partnership with two of the country?s biggest conglomerates in ABS-CBN and Asia Brewery, Incorporated.
ALA Promotions first boxing event of the year will be presented on the 15th of January at Block 11 @ the I.T. Park in Lahug, Cebu City Philippines for the ALA-Cobra Tunay na Lakas ?Boxings Best? professional boxing tour that will be fielding the Philippines top rated fighters. The ALA-Cobra partnership will serve as the venue for all aspiring Filipino professional boxers to hone their craft.
The next event will be held during Cebu?s annual Sinulog Festival where millions of foreign and local tourists will be flocking the city to be part of this celebration. The ALA-Summit Natural Drinking Water ?Fight Night Amateur Boxing Series? will be held on January 16, 2011 at the Gaisano Country Mall Car Park at 6 PM. The ALA-Summit boxing series is the amateur grassroots program of the ALA Gym which is under the ALA Promotions banner.
Finally, ALA Promotions biggest offering for the month is the much anticipated grudge rematch between Philippines vs Mexico, Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista vs Alejandro Barrera for the PINOY PRIDE 3: The Rematch on January 29, 2011 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. This is in partnership with televisions biggest network ABS-CBN Sports who has been working with ALA Promotions for the past years.
This highly anticipated rematch is expected to be ?the event? for controversy hounded the outcome of the fight the first time these two gladiators met in the ring last August of 2010. With Bautista out to prove he deserved the win and Barrera seeking revenge and redemption, a war is expected to rage when the first bell rings the next time they meet.
