BIG CARD IN URUGUAY ON JAN. 9, 2011

Two Uruguayan promoters join forces to place Uruguay firmly on the map of boxing. Sampson Boxing LLC in co-promotion with Sergio Marquez Productions, proudly present four world championship bouts in the luxurious Conrad Resort & Casino. This event serves as a statement by the casino executives to the boxing world by way of hosting the event during peak season of the resort. The most famous & beautiful (Las Vegas class) fee-free resort of South America. The Resort is nestled in the Peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and Rio De La Plata, where the river meets the ocean. First, a 12 round main event, for the vacant WBC Silver Super Middleweight title. From Uruguay, Noe "El Carbonero" Gonzalez (25-1, 17 K.O.?s) vs. Mexico's, Gustavo "Cubanito" Magallanes, with a record of (29-1, 25 K.O.?s) will be held on Sunday, January 9th 2011.

In addition, a female WBO World Championship bout in the Jr. Middleweight division between the idol of Costa Rica and reining champion, Hanna Gabriel (10-0-1, 6 KO's) vs. Mexican-American Melisenda Perez (7-2-1, 4 K.O.?s).

Also, Uruguay's Cecilia "La Reina" Communales (6-1, 4 K.O.'s) vs. the current Brazilian belt holder Halana Dos Santos (13-3, 8 K.O.'s) for the UBO Lightweight Championship title.

Next, in a special Bantamweight championship bout, Caril "El Raton" Herrera (26-1, 16 K.O.'s) will be part of the show.

This historic event will also feature from the U.S. Virgin Islands, the former Olympians, John ?The Rock? Jackson and his brother Julius "The Chef" Jackson. John & Julius are sons of former WBA, WBC Jr. & Middleweight Champion and future Hall of Fame member Julian ?The Hawk? Jackson. In another scheduled bout, Samuel Rogers, cousin of the Jackson brothers as well as Costa Rica's Bryan Vazquez will be part of the fight card. This event is unprecedented in the country of Uruguay and will be televised live by VTV & TYC stations.
