Boxing fans' text-to-vote results announced from "S?lo Boxeo Tecate" event on December 10

NEW YORK (December 14, 2010) - Boxing fans viewing last Friday night's electrifying TeleFutura broadcast of "S?lo Boxeo Tecate" sat in the judge's seat and cast their text votes naming Fort Worth, Texas's Jose Hernandez, the boxer with the most character. Accounting for 67% percent of the votes, fans determined that Hernandez showed more determination than undefeated lightweight prospect Mike Perez of Newark, New Jersey despite the fact that Perez won an eight round unanimous decision in what many are calling the "Fight of the Year."

For the past 10 weeks, the "Cintur?n Tecate"program has given viewers the chance to text votes to recognize the strength, courage and determination of up-and-coming fighters featured on "S?lo Boxeo Tecate." As part of the promotion, adult fans who participate receive free ring tones and screen savers for their cell phones.

Thousands of votes have been received in support of the up-and-coming boxers featured on "S?lo Boxeo Tecate," and below is a leaderboard summary of the boxers with the most character.

Boxer, Percentage of Votes, Date of Fight, Ranking

Luis Ramos Jr., 92%, Sept. 17, 1
Mercito Gesta, 78%, Oct. 22, 2
Danny Garcia, 75%, Oct. 8, 3
Jose Miguel Cotto, 74%, Nov. 5, 4
Jose Hernandez, 67%, Dec 10, 5
Jorge Barrios, 65%, Oct. 1, 6
Omar Figueroa, 64%, Nov. 12, 7
Carlos Baldomir, 60%, Nov.19, 8
Ramon Monta?o, 55%, Oct. 15, 9
Gilberto Gonzalez, 54%, Dec. 3, 10

The last voting opportunity for 2010 will be on December 17, when "S?lo Boxeo Tecate" visits San Diego, Calif. for the final "S?lo Boxeo Tecate" showdown of the year between undefeated Santa Ana featherweight prospect Ronny Rios and Mexico City's Aldolfo Landeros. Tune in at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT (10:30 p.m. CT) on TeleFutura.
