Ali Adams Returns To KO Nick Okoth
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 02 Dec 2010

The World?s only Arab Heavyweight Ali Adams made a spectacular return to the ring, following his points defeat by Matt Skelton at the Matchroom Sports Prizefighter - Heavyweights 4 back in October, by knocking out Battersea?s fighting fireman Nick Okoth.
On Monday evening the Heavyweight bout featuring Ali Adams and Nick Okoth headlined a four fight Dinner Show, held in a magnificent marquee set up in Coram?s Field in Bloomsbury.
The first round mainly consisted of the former gym mates more or less doing a hard sparring display rather than an out and out fight. Round two though was a totally different fight as Okoth stepped things up and went hard on the offensive. Adams responded with some good stiff jabs to keep the ever advancing Okoth at bay. About thirty seconds or so in to the round Okoth tried to rough up Adams and in doing so left himself open for the big Kensington based Iraqi to throw a big left hook over the top to send Okoth crashing to the deck.
Following his return to the Ultrachem TKO gym today Adams spoke of the win. ?It was a good experience and I?m happy to get the win. It was a real good punch. I?m happy Nick is OK because he is a good friend of mine.
People now see I?m more and more aggressive. I will go and destroy anybody in the ring. I?ve got to go and do the business. Boxing is a fighting game you know.?
TKO supremo Johnny Eames, who trains Adams, then gave his view of the superb win. ?It was a really good performance by Ali Adams on Monday night. Just the performance he needed after his disappointment at Prizefighter. It showed what we all suspected he had , he?s got punching power. He?s lacked a little bit of self belief. Hopefully we?re getting him there with it now.
Who knows with Heavyweights there always just one punch away from winning or losing. Maybe this is the return for Ali winning. Let?s hope so.?
