TU?ACAO IS GAB BOXER OF THE MONTH

Former World Boxing Council flyweight boss Malcolm Tu?acao has been voted by the Games and Amusements Board as its Boxer of the Month for November, based on the latest rankings to be released by the agency.
Tu?acao was chosen after successfully wresting the prestigious Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) bantam title from Thai Kumarnthong Por Pluemkamol last November 19 in Tokyo, Japan.
The southpaw Tu?acao boxed brilliantly in their 12-round encounter, prevailing on a one-sided unanimous decision over the tough Thai.
Tu?acao, in winning the GAB citation, edged out WBO Asia Pacific bantam champ Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista and WBO Asia Pacific super-featherweight titlist Czar Amonsot, who won their respective bouts also last November 19.
The talented Tu?acao (19-1-2, 13 KO's), who is now rated WBC no. 6 bantamweight, is set to defend his newly-acquired title on February 5 against Kohei Ohba in Nagoya.
On the same card, OPBF super-featherweight king Randy Suico also defends his title against Japanese Ryuhei Sugita in another 12-round rumble.
