Back To The Future Boxing Broadcast With Billy C PhilBoxing.com Mon, 24 May 2010 Lake George, NY ? Bill Calogero, Host of the ?Talkin Boxing With Billy C? Radio Program has announced that he will go ?Back To The Future? with the LIVE Radio Broadcast of X-Cel Promotion?s ?The Return Of The Rock? Boxing Event, which is scheduled for June 19, 2010 at the Niagara Falls Conference Center, in Niagara Falls, New York. Headlining the Fight Card is Former Two-Time World Heavyweight Champion, Hasim Rahman. ?I have had the idea to bring back Boxing on the Radio for a long time. I have asked many people involved in the sport for their thoughts on the concept, considering the technological advancements we have had over the past several years with video over the Internet and now on our hand-held devices. I was afraid that boxing fans only wanted to watch video, but it was made clear to me that many feel they would enjoy listening to a boxing card and have the flexibility of multi-tasking by doing other things at the same time. I think boxing is a sport that would be enjoyed immensely on the radio similar to baseball. As long as we can bring the event to the listener in a very entertaining and most important, descriptive way, I think it can help resurrect a very important part of boxing?s history. After all, it wasn?t until the 1950?s when boxing became popular on TV. Before that you either were live at the event, or you listened on the radio?, stated Bill Calogero. He added, ?Of course it will take an exciting card to broadcast and I feel that Nick Garone?s X-Cel Promotion?s card on June 19th, featuring Hasim Rahman along with an Action-Packed Under-Card will help make the broadcast a success. If we can sell out the Niagara Falls Conference Center and add a lot of fan interaction, the broadcast will be a home run.? The Broadcast is being billed as the ?Back To The Future Boxing Broadcast? and will be broadcast LIVE from the Niagara Falls Conference Center on June 19, 2010 beginning at 7:00 PM EST on several Boxing Websites, Including BillyCBoxing.com and TalkinBoxing.com for FREE.
