ALL SET FOR WBO ORIENTAL TITLE FIGHT IN MABOLO THIS SATURDAY

The main protagonists for the WBO in MABOLO: NEXT PROSPECTS II fight card this May 15 Saturday made the required weight during the official weigh-in held Friday morning May 14 at the Wilfredo Cabalse Sports Complex in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

The main event of the card is a twelve rounder between Anthony ?ROCKY? Marcial of Zamboanga City against Dante ?Chowking? Paulino of Manila for the vacant WBO Oriental Lightweight Championship. Marcial weighed 133 lbs while Paulino weighed in at 132.

Last March, Marcial won by second round TKO over Daryl Pucdol in a fight card held at the Mandaue City Plaza Square.

There will be fourteen undercard bouts. Undefeated prospect Mark Anthony Geraldo of Valencia, Bukidnon will face Apol Suico of Cebu in an eight round superflyweight contest. Both weighed in at 114 ? lbs.

Lt. flyweights Jason Canoy of Cebu will fight Roel Honor of Butuan in an eight rounder. Jose Ocampo of Manila will face Samuel Galinato of Bohol in an eight round jt.lightweight bout.

Jr. welterweight Adonis Cabalquinto will have a six round fight against Billy Balleser of Bohol . Superflyweight Froilan Saludar will face Ryan Illustrisimo of Cebu City in another six rounder.

Rodney Rafols will fight Joseph Minoza in a six round featherweight contest. Lt. flyweights Edward Penerio vs Joseph Altieza of Butuan 6 rounds, Flyweights Jerwin Ancajas vs Erwin Yamo 6 rounds, Lt. flyweights Anthony ?Zorro? Sabalde vs Sam Canonigo 6 rounds, mini-flyweights Ivan Soriano vs Delmar Cabatas 4 rounds, Superflyweights Jimmy Paypa vs Lobert Bago 4 rounds, mini-flyweights Angelo Marcial vs Robert Alvarez 4 rounds, Flyweights Virgilio Alvarez vs Arnold Peraltes 4 rounds, and jr.lighweights Crispin Parba vs Renante Sabio 4 rounds.

The weigh-in was supervised by Rolando Mendoza of the Games and Amusements Board. The WBO lead by their Vice Pres. Leon Panoncillo had an outreach program for the youth of Mabolo wherein they gave away bags and school supplies as part of their DRUG FREE YOUTH PROGRAM.

This event is promoted by SGG Sports Promotions and Sampson Boxing LLC in cooperation with Omega Boxing Gym and the Mabolo Barangay Council as part of their continuing search for the next Filipino boxing. Fights start Saturday afternoon 5:30 p.m at the Wilfredo Cabalse Sports Complex.
