The fight will be on the undercard of the Top Rank promotion headlined by WBC International super featherweight title fight between Jorge Solis (38-2-2, 28 KO?s) and Mario Santiago (21-2-1, 14 KO?s) and the return of former WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito (37-6, 27 KO?s) against promising Roberto Garcia (28-2, 21 KO?s).

The giant broadcast network ABS-CBN will telecast the fights over Studio 23 beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The 25 year old southpaw Farenas is has had some impressive wins in the US and Mexico but had also notched up a few victories over certified Thai patsies in Manila.

Farenas made his US debut with a rousing 2nd round TKO over Arturo Valenzuela at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on October 6, 2007 and then scored a 3rd round TKO over Baudel Cardenas on March 15, 2008.

The power-punching lefty went eight round with Fermin De Los Santos before winning a unanimous decision on May 17, 2008 before he scored a smashing 1st round knockout over veteran Walter Estrada on May 1, 2009. He figured in a two-round no decision against Joe Morales in his last fight on March 13, 2010 after clobbering badly overmatched Thai Sathian Sokhom to score a 1st round knockout at the Mandaluyong City Gym on January 8 this year.

Farenas (27-2-3, 24 KO?s) won the vacant featherweight title of the fringe World Professional Boxing Federation on October 3, 2009 with a 9th round knockout over Jae Bong Jang of Korea.

Aguilar (23-9-1, 17 KO?s) is coming off a majority decision over eight rounds against Freddy Oporta on March 26 this year after earlier scoring a 1st round knockout over Efrain Martinez on February 27.
