Downtown Los Angeles: Golden Boy Promotions held its monthly fight card at the Club Nokia early Thursday night and although the fighters on the card for most part are relatively unknown, they gave performances that pleased the crowd.

The card opened with a couple of light heavyweights which set the tone for the evening.

Hiromitsu Miura (2-0-0) a young Japanese pug who now makes Las Vegas his base, scored a one sided unanimous decision in 4 rounds over Nathan Bedwell (0-2-0) of Nashville, TN. The scores were 40-36, 39-37 and 39-37.

On the second fight in the card, Junior lightweight Luis ( 2-3-1) of Los Angeles won via a majority decision over Juan Sandoval (1-2-0,1KO). The scores were 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38.

A couple of bantamweights followed suit. Khabir Suleymanov responding to his Russian speaking coaches outpointed a journeyman, Benji Garcia of San Diego, CA. In the main event, Enrique Ornelas (30-6-0,20KO) from nearby La Habra, CA really shined but it took him four rounds to make up for his loss last year to Bernard Hopkins.

Ornelas KO?d Julius Fogle (15-4-0, 10KO at 1:12 of round four. Ornelas scored the KO with a picture perfect left hook that sent Fogle diving to the canvas where referee Jerry Cantu counted him out.
