DAVAO CITY -- Despite the lockdown caused by Covid-19, there is no stopping on flyweight Carlo Caesar "Too Sharp" Peñalosa from practicing for a possible fight any time.
The 26-year old Peñalosa is staying inside the house of his uncle Jonathan Peñalosa, who is also his coach and trainer, in Quezon City.
Aside from his skipping rope, Peñalosa is also doing circuit and shadow boxing.
"Wala sad lagi tarung practice tungod aning lockdownd. Ari lang sa balay pasingot lang (I don't have proper practice because of this lockdown. Only through exercise in this house)," said Peñalosa.
The southpaw boxer recently had a draw with Alphoe "Wolverine" Dagayloan of Bacoor, Cavite for the vacant Philippine flyweight title last Feb. 1 at the Elorde Sports Complex in Parañaque City.
Peñalosa now has 14 wins with seven knockouts against two defeats and one draw.
Last year, Peñalosa had two fights with one win and one loss. He first had won against Watana Phenbaan of Thailand by a knockout in the 3rd round last Feb. 16 at the SM City in Quezon.
He, however lost to Maximo Flores of Mexico by a technical decision in the 7th round for the vacant IBO World flyweight last Aug. 25 in TV5 Studio, Quezon City.
Peñalosa is now waiting for a possible schedule fight through his uncle Gerry Peñalosa of GerryPens Boxing Promotion.
