“Pitbull” Cruz Battles Skilled Lamont Roach Next!

PhilBoxing.com

Super popular Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz, the fan-friendly Mexican action star, will defend his WBC interim title against the taller and fantastically skilled WBA Super Featherweight King Lamont Roach (25-1, 10 KOs).

The two men will battle for Pitbull’s WBC interim 140-pound title on December 6 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Both marquee fighters are looking to make a big statement in the hot super lightweight division.

Pitbull (28-3-1, 18 KOs) aims to keep his interim WBC belt, positioning himself for more thrilling fights while solidifying himself as one of boxing’s most popular fighters.

The 30-year-old Lamont Roach, meanwhile, wants to build momentum following his very controversial draw with Gervonta "Tank" Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) last March.

About that fight, many fans still think Lamont edged the win and should have been awarded the 135-pound world title.

That didn’t happen. It was a draw, and Gervonta’s turning his back during the fight without permission from referee Steve Willis is something no boxing fan likes.

Was Steve Willis too lenient?

The controversy in Gervonta vs. Lamont revolves around that specific incident where Gervonta turned his back to Lamont in the tenth round without explicit permission from the referee.

Fans recall Roach landed some clean shots, and Davis’s action of turning away has led to endless debates among fans about whether it affected the fight’s outcome.

Do you think it affected? Was that OK with you?

The question is: Was Davis turning his back a tactical move at a crucial moment? Or a violation? Honestly, I don’t think that move looked too good. How about you?

As we all know, the fight ended in a majority draw, leaving many fans feeling Roach had done enough to edge the win.

Yes, to this day, many fans wonder if Roach was unfairly denied a potential victory. Anyways, that’s past and the result won’t change.

However, that feeling of being denied – do you think it might fuel Roach’s motivation? Maybe Lamont might want some kind of redemption. Could be?

One true thing is this: both men want this win badly! They are proven warriors. Top level.

How will it unfold? It will be a clash of styles, Pitbull coming aggressively at Lamont in his trademark explosive approach 💥 while Lamont wants to make good use of his superb boxing skills, his reach and his superior height. Who will prevail?

Cruz's pressure is relentless, that’s why Mexican fans call him Pitbull. He is just like that. He comes forward, throwing punches non-stop, and who can forget his fight against Gervonta? That fight made him popular worldwide. Fans loved him instantly.

Lamont Roach, he is one heck of a talented boxer, and he is coming from 130 lbs to 140.

Crawford went from 154 to 168 and perfectly out boxed Canelo, as we all saw. Could Lamont come from 130 to 140 and outbox Pitbull?

Right now, both champions are in training camp, preparing for their big night, both willing to give us, boxing fans, a memorable battle – and who do you think will win???

Jointly promoted by TGB Promotions, MP Promotions, ProBox Promotions, and Box Starz, this super exciting war will air live on PBC PPV on Prime Video.

I’ll be watching live, I’m sure you too! May the Best Man Win!
