Pinoy Pride 42 holds first Public Workout in Lapu-lapu Saturday

The highly anticipated 42nd Pinoy Pride edition set on Sept. 16 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino schedules its first public pre-event at the Island Central Mall located in Mepza, Lapu-lapu City this Saturday.
Newly crowned IBF light flyweight king Milan ?El Metodico? Melindo (36-2-0, 13KOs) will headline the card in his first title defense against South Africa?s world champion, Hekkie Budler (31 ? 2- 0, 10KOs).
Budler is a two-division world champion and currently holds the IBO light flyweight strap.
Melindo, on the other hand, won his first world title last May in Tokyo, Japan, dethroning then defending champion Akira Yaegashi in a stunning 1st round TKO.
Melindo, together with trainers Edito and Edmund Villamor, will be showcasing his workout routines to the public ahead of the scheduled action-packed fight on September.
The program will start at 5pm at the mall?s activity center located at the entrance area, while a meet and greet and photo op session will follow for the fans that will be watching the activity.
