LOS ANGELES (July 7, 2017) -- Two-division world champion and pound for pound superstar VASYL "Hi-Tech" LOMACHENKO, two-time world title challenger and Top-10 contender MIGUEL "Escorpi?n" MARRIAGA and two-time world title challenger and top-rated lightweight contender RAY "Sugar" BELTRAN will host a Los Angeles press conference breakfast Next Wednesday! July 12, in the 5th Floor Pre-Function area at the Intercontinental Los Angeles Downtown hotel (900 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif. 90017). Breakfast will be served at 10:30 a.m. with the press conference beginning at 11:00 a.m. PT. The participants will be announcing their fights which will headline a world championship card on Saturday, August 5, at the nearby Microsoft Theater. Joining the fighters will be Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum. All the participants will be available for one-on-one interviews.
Promoted by Top Rank?, the Lomachenko and Beltran title fights will be televised live and exclusively at 10 p.m. EDT on ESPN and ESPN Deportes and stream live on the ESPN app.
Lomachenko (8-1, 6 KOs), from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Ukraine, will be making the third defense of his World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior lightweight world title against Marriaga ((25-2, 21 KOs), from Arjona, Colombia. Beltran, the top-rated lightweight contender will be defending his NABF and NABO lightweight titles against two-time interim WBA super featherweight world champion BRYAN VASQUEZ (36-2, 19 KOs), of San Jose, Costa Rica.
