?Ruthless? Duno set to leave for US
PhilBoxing.com Mon, 26 Jun 2017

FOLLOWING an easy outing early this month, Romero Duno, currently one of the country?s promising boxers, is set to fly to the United States where bigger fights await.
Jim Claude Manangquil, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Sanman Promotions, said the fighter nicknamed ?Ruthless? is set to leave for Los Angeles, California in the second week of July and train at the Wildcard Gym under fomer Filipino world champion Rodel Mayol.
?We will have a meeting with Golden Boy Promotions to discuss the schedule of his next fight in the US. Most likely, the fight will take place in August or September,? said Manangquil.
The hard-punching Romero (14W-1L-0D-13KOs) was signed up by Golden Promotions of the legendary Oscar dela Hoya after his sensational second-round knockout win over Christian Gonzalez last March 10 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles.
After his impressive win in the US, Duno saw action last June 10 in the main event of the ?Brawl at the Mall: The Homecoming? at the Robinsons Mall Atrium in General Santos City where he made short work of Jason Tinampay by scoring a second-round knockout win.
?For now, Duno?s focus is to stay in shape while waiting for the final schedule of his next fight,? said Manangquil.###
