Webber from the renowned Glenn Rushton stable in Brisbane will fight Tszyu over 6 rounds on the stacked TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 17 card. Webber is a former amateur star who has made an instant impact in the pro's winning his first two bouts in stunning fashion. "I think this is an enormous bout between two of Australia's greatest emerging talents," Glenn Rushton said. "Both are undefeated as professionals and it's a credit to both boxers, trainers, managers and promoters to be putting on such a great bout. "Nathan is a very talented former Australian amateur champion and Tim Tszyu has shown exceptional talent both as an amateur and a professional. "Rest assured this is going to be one heck of a fight," Rushton said. It won't be the first time Tim Tszyu and Nathan Webber have met face to face. The duo squared off as amateurs with Tszyu winning a close decision. "I'm really excited about this fight," TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 17 promoter Brendon Smith said. "It would be a real coup to have just one of these boys on the show, now we have them both on and they're fighting each other. "Nathan Webber has a strong pedigree in the amateurs and is in the right hands under the guidance of Glenn Rushton. "This young man is immensely talented and he would be sparring with Jeff Horn who is on the verge of fighting Manny Pacquiao so Nathan couldn't get any better sparring or training atmosphere anywhere in the World. "I want to thank Glenn Rushton, as always Glenn is the ultimate professional to deal with. "The job he's done with Jeff Horn to put him in the position to fight Manny Pacquaio is amazing and he deserves a lot of credit. "Glenn is regarded as one of the best judges in the sport and he didn't hesitate when the name Tim Tszyu came up. "Glenn's camp is very keen on this fight and they're coming to win and derail the momentum of Tim Tszyu," Smith said. Smith believes this is a real 'fan's fight.' "This will be a great fight for the crowd on July 22," Smith said. "Both boys are undefeated, both boys are precocious talents, both have the boxing community talking.
