Tim Tszyu.

ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS NAMES IN AUSTRALIAN AND WORLD BOXING IS COMING TO TOOWOOMBA.

Tim Tszyu, the son of elite former World Champion Kostya Tszyu is confirmed to have his sixth professional bout on the TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 17 card at Rumours International on July 22.

"My manager at Team Tszyu 2 is keeping me very busy in the ring and I'm looking forward to putting on a great show for all the fight fans in Toowoomba on July 22, Tim Tszyu said.

Tim Tszyu is the hottest young name in Australian boxing. Since making his professional debut in December last year the twenty two year old has fought five times for five wins.

He's drawn accolades from the boxing community World wide not only for his uncanny resemblance to his famous father but also his immense potential in between the ropes.

After just five bouts many good judges are touting him a World champion in the making.

"We are a very busy and professional team," Tim Tszyu's manager Glen Jennings.

"We are enjoying working with great promoters on great events and we are delighted to be on the TGW & Smithy Bring the big Fights 17 card on July 22.

"Tim Tszyu is a fighter you don't want to miss seeing in action so get your tickets early, it'll be a sellout."

"It's very exciting to have Tim Tszyu fight on our card on July 22, Brendon Smith said.

"This is another example of the stature of our shows in Toowoomba - we keep on attracting the big names.

"Tim Tszyu is a huge name in the sport and his name is only going to grow - so this is a must see opportunity for our loyal fan base.

"I want to thank Glen Jennings and all of the crew from Team Tszyu 2, they've been a pleasure to work with.

"They're the ultimate professionals and they deserve huge praise for the way they're guiding Tim's career.

"He's a precocious talent.

"I'm looking forward to watching his career progress and I know he's going to be a wonderful ambassador for our sport.

"I know our community will welcome Tim and his team with open arms and he will receive first class hospitality from our city."

Tszyu's opponent will be announced in the coming days.

"His opponent is another well credentialed Australian fighter and this will be a great match up," Smith said.

"It's been a pleasure to once again work with the Tszyu name.

"Previously I have worked with Kostya and his team - many of those are now also involved with Tim.

"Michael Katsidis did a lot of sparring with Kostya in the lead up to the Ricky Hatton bout many years ago.

"Now to go full circle and work with the Team Tszyu 2 crew is a real honour.

"Tim's going to be a real attraction on July 22.

"Tickets are on sale from Smithy's TGW gym so secure your seat to see a young man many are predicting as a future World champion."
