'TRIPLE TROUBLE' WEIGH-IN RESULTS!

KIDAPAWAN CITY--The official weigh-in for tomorrow's mammoth boxing event here has just been finished with all main protagonists easily making the regulatory weight limit supervised by WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo.

Tomorrow's hostilities start at 3PM at the North Cotabato provincial gymnasium.

Glenn Porras came in at 118 lbs, while Indonesian opponent Marangin Marbun checked in at 115.5 lbs for their 10-round battle for the WBO Asia Pacific interim Youth bantamweight title.

Glenn Gonzalez, 126 lbs, will trade leathers with Indonesia's Boydo Simanjuntak, 124.75 lbs, for the WBO Asia Pacific interim Youth featherweight title.

Edren Dapudong and Thai Sakmanee Sitchaleaw both came in at 105 lbs. in advance of their WBO Asia Pacific Youth minimumweight showdown tomorrow.

The free-to-the-public, 12-bout event, promoted by KingMaker Promotions of Soc Pinol, will feature also feature the pro debut of some of the best amateur fighters from the Braveheart Boxing Stable.

"Tomorrow you will see the fruits of our amateur boxing program," said outgoing North Cotabato Governor Emmanuel Pinol, who credited Cuban coach Honorato Espinosa for the boys' development.

The event is also part of the thanksgiving celebration of the Pinol brothers who all came out victorious at the recent May 14 elections, led by Gov. Manny Pi?ol (now North Cotabato vice-governor-elect), Congressman-elect Bernardo ?Jun? Pi?ol Jr., re-elected Magpet Mayor Efren Pi?ol and M'lang Mayor-elect Lito Pi?ol.

The other bouts of the card pit Dennis Juntillano versus Nelson Guindolan; Reynaldo Belandres against Isidro Balabat; Rolando Magbanua against Daniel Solis; Lorenzo Villanueva versus Jeffrey Mara-Mara; Rommel Asenjo against Noel Rosa.

The rest of the match-ups pits Jernel Jabel versus Jun Marapao; Jonel Wamar against Jilo Merlyn; and Ronie Apelado versus Jojo Corpus; and Rolando Omila versus Felix Mallorca.

"We assure you fireworks and knockout sprees in tomorrow's bout. I dont expect decision bouts, I expect to see knockouts," declared promoter Soc Pinol.
