Results at Quiet Cannon Boxing

Last night, Ed Holmes' All Star Promotions presented 7 bouts in its latest edition of the "Battle of the Rising Stars" at the Quiet Cannon Country Club in Montebello, CA.
In the first of two 6-rounders, Junior Welterweight Andrew Ruiz, stretched his winning skein to 9-0 with a 6th round KO of Andres Bustamante. Andrew Ruiz stalked his opponent non stop in every round, finally nailing him in the 6th. Referee Sharon Sands did not bother to count anymore as Andres Bustamante was starched in the canvas, eyes glazed and obviously out for the night.
In the other bout, Alejandro Ochoa brought down the upset axe on crowd favorite Luis Sedano, with a unanimous decision win, 58-56, and 57-56 twice in a lightweight contest.
The loss sullied Luis Sedano's otherwise unblemished record to 5-1-1.
The rest of the bouts:
Edward Ceballos, fighting at featherweight, had a rousing debut, winning by majority decision over Adrian Rodriguez, with scores of 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38.
In a super middleweight fight, Daniel Rodriguez beat Jonathan Scroggins by unanimous decision, 39-37 across the board.
Welterweight upstarts Saul Bustos and Nam Phan fought to a 3rd round technical draw. An accidental clash of heads resulted in an ugly cut on Saul Bustos prompting the stoppage of the bout.
Christian Silva defeated Ricardo Garcia by majority decision, 38-38, and 39-37 twice in a junior lightweight duel.
And, Junior Welterweight Edgar Nava blanked Alex Chavez, 40-36 to round up the last of the five 4-rounders.
The successful event held before an appreciative full house crowd was sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission.
