Nietes, Melligen Make Weight!
By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Fri, 20 Apr 2007

In Bacolod City, WBO Asia Pacific minimumweight kingpin Donnie Nietes had an easy time making weight, coming in at 104.5 lbs during official weigh-in held at the city's Business Inn Hotel just moments ago supervised by WBO Vice President for Asia Pacific Leon Panoncillo.
However, Bangkok's Thongthailek Por Vorasing is still trying to make weight, coming in on first try at 106 lbs, then went down to 105.75 in his second try. On his third try, Vorasing finally breached the 105-lb mark so there's going to be a fight!
In the co-feature, RP no. 1 junior welter Mark Jason Melligen came in at 140 lbs, while his opponent Christopher Saluday came in at 137.5 lbs.

The duo duke it out for the vacant RP junior welter crown as the chief support to the Nietes-Vorasing rumble.
Top-rated boxing show 'Main Event' will cover the fight, with no less than the vivacious Viva Hot Babes member Carla Samonte serving as round card girl.
