Full Throttle Main Event Denton Daley vs Jason Douglas Explodes

PhilBoxing.com

Mississaga, Canada - The main event at Full Throttle last weekend between Denton Daley and Jason Douglas was probably the most intense boxing match up that took place anywhere last Saturday. Both boxers walked in with a big bang salute and fireworks that lead up to the climatic encounter as seen in every classic grudge match. What makes this grudge match more appealing is that both Daley and Douglas are familiar with each other that words of disapproval going back and forth made the tension between them even thicker as witnessed in the morning weigh in.

As soon as both boxers made it into the ring, the in your face stare down you would see orchestrated similar to classic wrestling grudge match was inevitable . Daley and Douglas got the fans at the Hershey Centre excited as major tension radiated throughout the arena. When the bell finally rang, the crowd was electric and really into this fight, you heard the arena come to full life as the crowd cheered on, they wanted war between the main event pugilists. Daley and Douglas immediately went down to business as both boxers threw all out power punches at each other. By the way both boxers were swinging, you can tell that this fight is not going the distance and that someone will be going down by force.

In the second round, Denton Daley connected with punches that started to chip away at Jason Douglas who answered back with his own arsenal. However, Daley?s punching power was more pronounced as the fight unfolded, Douglas got tagged a couple of times as he was leaning into the ropes, Daley connected with two big shots to end the second round. The clean power punches Douglas connected with did not slowed down Daley who was pumped for action. The fans are cheered but they are divided as both boxers had many supporters in the audience.

In the third round, Daley continued to pressure and dominated Douglas with his smooth transitional footwork which was much faster than Douglas. Daley punished Douglas with more power punches, carefully landing them one at a time by picking his shots where Douglas was open.

In the fourth round, Daley went into high gear and increased the pressure on Douglas who got stunned and wore down from the pressure and accumulated power punches that landed on him. Douglas started to fade away, his punches that were not as crisp as Daley?s and were getting less and less. Douglas started to reel back from the charging Daley. Daley caught Douglas and pressed him on the ropes, Daley urgently threw a flurry of punches on Douglas on a big hurry. Daley unleashed the beast within and kept throwing and connecting on Douglas until he was airborne and vertical on the ropes. It was clear that Douglas was done, he was exhaused and almost out. Daley continued to land punches on Douglas longer than he should have, while Douglas hung vertical on the ropes. The referee stepped in to stop the fight, it could have been done much earlier. Douglas who was punched out while suspended vertically on the ropes fell hard to the canvass as a result of Daley?s all-out assault. Time of TKO was 2:35 in the fourth round.

A dramatic TKO finish, a classic grudge match, the crowd showed concern for Douglas, his fans were outraged by Denton Daley?s all-out assault. This fight is finished, but Douglas?s corner is outraged at the excessive force administered by Daley. Both corners went head to head and members confronted each other in disagreement and and escalating emotions, you can only guess the unpleasantries and tension exchanged between their corners.
The chaos wound down after several minutes which seemed a lot longer, two time IBF World Champion Steve Molitor who was working in Jason Douglas? corner reached out to Denton Daley and his corner. Steve Molitor exemplified what I champion should be and promoted peace where chaos took over. Molitor took Denton Daley by the hand and lead him to Jason Douglas who was still recovering in his corner. Molitor made Denton Daley and Jason Douglas reconcile their differences for the time being as disapproval was still lingering in the crowd due to the outcome of the main event. Hershey Center remained charged long after the fight was finished.

In the undercards, Hometown favorites Brandon Cook knocked out Ferenc Zold who took a lot of punches in the third round.
Dillion Karman knocked out Alain Kashama in the first round by brute force.

Steve Wilcox knocked out an over-matched Sandor Horvath in the second round with punishing body punches.

Tebor Bosch comes is back and won by split decision vs. Gyorgy Mizsei. This fight went the distance, Bosch and Mizsei clinched like two bucks with their horns loced together all night long.
