Muntinlupa tops Sambo demo

MUNTINLUPA City topped the demonstration of the SAMBO sports at the Batang Pinoy 2025 held at the West Dadiangas School last October 30 in General Santos City.
Muntinlupa won eight gold medals and five silvers.
Second is Valencia City with 5 golds and 2 bronze followed by Calamba with 4 golds, 5 silvers and 2 bronzes.
Fourth is Manila with 3-3-2 followed by Davao City with 2-7-12.
The 6th to 9th are Caloocan [1-0-3], Baguio [1-0-0], Quezon City [0-2-1] and Bukidnon [0-1-0].
The gold medalists of Muntinlupa were Isiah Miguel [Cadet boys -58kg], Jazril Yuan Gloria [Youth boys -49kg], Cricien Marley Gloria [Youth boys -48kg], Gerald Ardiente [Youth boys -64kg], Rhain dela Cruz [Kids Girls -50kg], Francheska Morales [Cadets girls -59kg], Sophia Nicole Novino [Youth girls 50kg] and Samara Vidor [Youth girls -65kg].
The five silvers were courtesy of Mark Lincoln Arnais [cadet boys -64kg], Jan Lawrence Gloria [youth boys -71kg], Jhonna Faith Duata [youth girls -44kg] and Princess Bayore [youth girls -54kg].
The demo of the Sambo was performed by the Pilipinas Sambo Federation Inc. led its Vice President Roselyn Dayanan.
"Sambo will be included in the regular sports next year," said PSFI Secretary General Janet Sy.
Also present were National Head Coach Ace Larida and the members of the national Sambo team headed by Asian Sambo Queen Sydney Sy Tancontian.
