Gentri FIDE Standard Chess tourney set for July 22 and 23

MANILA---The cream of the crop in Gentri chess will once again test each other’s mettle through the General Trias City Chess Club FIDE Standard Chess Tournament slated on July 22 and 23 at Barangay Pasong Kawayan 2 Manpower Building besides Luis Ferrer Senior High School Building in General Trias City, Cavite.
Round 1 start at 10am.
"General Trias City Chess Club promotes increased knowledge and understanding of the game of chess for its," said Ederwin Estavillo, president of General Trias City Chess Club under the guidance of mayor Jon-Jon Ferrer.
Woman National Master Bonjoure Fille Suyamin and Jirah Floravie Cutiyog led other promising pawnpushers from General Trias City in this National Chess Federation of the Philippines sanctioned chess tournament.
Others vying in this 2-day FIDE Standard event are Dan Jaime Cutiyog, Prince Neigel Ruzol, Maryss Caldoza and Rai Enzo Batara.
Among invited titled players are IM Angelo Abundo Young, IM Jose Efren Bagamasbad, FM Carlos Edgardo Garma, NM Robert Suelo Jr., NM Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr. and NM Edmundo Gatus-Marlon Bernardino-
