SU YINHUAN WINS WBO GREATER CHINA SUPER FLY TITLE By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Sun, 10 Sep 2017 JINAN,CHINA ? Su Yinhuan used hand speed and lateral movement against Zhao Jun to win the 115 lb division finals of the Major League Boxing tournament. Su also earned the WBO Greater China super flyweight title. Su effectively landed a variety of combos the whole night. Zhao did manage to stun and corner Su in the seventh but it was in the dying seconds of the round. The judges? scorecards read ? Surat Soikrachang ? 78-73, Han Hongxiang ? 79-72 and Yin Haiyang ? 78-73. The referee was Mekin Sumon of Thailand. Su is now 6W-1L-2D, 1KO. Zhao drops to 5-2-1,4KO?s. The fight capped back to back weekend fight cards held at the Maida Energy Sports Center. Liu Zhong dropped Lin Chunlei in round two and battered him in the fourth forcing referee Han Hongxiang to stop it at 0:47 of the fourth round. Liu remains unbeaten at 10-0,3KO?s. He is the reigning WBO Greater China super bantamweight champion. For the other undercard results: Tossaporn Jan Tharasan of Thailand made a successful debut by beating He Jianglu by unanimous decision. Tossaporn fought in Muay Thai and as an amateur boxer before trying his hand in pro boxing. Zhou Bin beat Zhao Junhui by majority decision, Jiang Feng won by TKO in the second round against Jiang Feng, Saitibatihali Jumatai won a unanimous verdict against Guo Yuanqing, Zhan Zefeng and Li Yangyang fought to a majority draw, Wang Pei beat Hou Junhui by unanimous decision and Huerban Qiatehe got a split decision win over Chao Ke. In the first day of competitions, Yu Che Li of Taiwan beat Filipino expat Richard Garcia by TKO in the fourth round after Garcia twisted his knee and in the middle of the fourth round was unable to stand. Garcia, who works as a trainer in Qingdao, now has a 2W-4L record since moving to China and a 27-26-1,8KO record overall. For the other supporting bouts ? Yang Xiaolong knocked down Wu Lijun in round two and won by unanimous decision. Yang is now 3W-1D since losing in the Major League Boxing (formerly League of Fists) lightweight finals to Alimu Wushouer in Urumqi last year. Tian Duancai won by unanimous decision over Ding Wei, Lu He stopped Dong Jianguo in three rounds, Ahatelike beat Zhu Xao by TKO in round two, Ayibole Mulatihan got a unanimous decision over Lu Sishun, Xia Wei beat Peng Yong by unanimous decision, Cai Shidong got a split decision against Shayilanbieke and Zeng Yujie stopped Liu Ho in three rounds. Major League Boxing, formerly known as the League of Fists, is promoted by SECA and TOP RANK. The fights were officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC) of China.
