Jaro-Singwangcha vs. Sosa for WBC Silver Flyweight Title
By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Fri, 31 Aug 2012

Former WBC and linear world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro-Singwangcha will face former WBC lt. flyweight champion Edgar Sosa in a rematch, this time for the latter?s WBC Silver Flyweight Title in Mexico City on October 13, 2012.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing of his boxer?s coming fight as they start their rebuilding process aimed at regaining the world crown he lost to Toshiyuki Igarashi of Japan last July.
Sony Boy lost to Sosa by unanimous decision four years ago in his bid to win the WBC lt. flyweight title. Last March, the 30 year old Jaro electrified the boxing world by scoring a stunning 6th round TKO upset win over Pongsaklek Wonjongkam of Thailand for the WBC flyweight title. He would lose to Igarashi by split decision in Japan four months later.
Just like his stablemate Denver Cuello, Jaro fights with the name Singwangcha to honor their sponsor, Thai boxing patron Naris Singwangcha.
Sosa vs. Jaro will be staged by Oswaldo Promociones of Mexico. Sonny Boy is happy for this chance to have another big fight. Team Jaro has set their sights on the winner of Igarashi?s first title defense against Nestor Daniel Narvaes of Argentina.
Sosa lost to Wonjongkam last year by unanimous decision but bounced back with three straight wins against Roilo Golez, Wilbert Uicab and Shigetaka Ikehara. The 33 year old Sosa lost his WBC lt.flyweight title to Rodel Mayol by second round TKO in 2009.
