CASTILLO MAKES WEIGHT!!! JOHNSON/FONFARA SET TO GO OMORROW NIGHT PhilBoxing.com Fri, 13 Jul 2012 ![]() Former world champion Jose Luis Castillo made weight easily today at the official weigh-in for his showdown tomorrow night (Friday, July 13) against Ivan Popoca at the "CROSSROADS" boxing event presented by 8 Count and Warriors Boxing at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago and live on ESPN Friday Night Fights. All the other main participants did as well. Castillo (63-11-1, 54 KOs) will face Popoca (15-1-1, 10 KOs) in the 10-round welterweight co-main event in support of former world champion Glen Johnson (51-16-2, 35 KOs) taking on "The Polish Prince" Andrzej Fonfara (21-2, 12 KOs) in the 10-round light heavyweight main event. Castillo claims his previous problems with weight have been due to mix-ups with contracted weights and conflicting information. "When I have proper time and I know in advance the correct weight on the contract, I have no problem," said the former champ.
