DALLAS -- The grandson of the Great Gabriel Flash Elorde, Juan Martin ?Bai? Elorde will get his baptism of fire in US boxing soil as he fights in the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito clash on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The 26-year-old Bai, a Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management graduate at De La Salle College of St. Benilde, will strut his wares against Mexican Angel Rodriguez (4-4-1), in one of three Pinoy boxers in the undercard.
Son of Johnny and Liza Elorde, Bai stands 5?7?, a southpaw and sport an unblemish record of 11 wins with 4 knockouts.
In yesterday?s workout at Exhibit Hall of Gaylord Hotel here, Bai impresses the crowd with his movements and were looking forward to seeing him in an impressive showing come Saturday night.
Other Filipino boxers fighting in the same card are Dennis Laurente and Richie Mepranum.
Laurente, a familiar face every time Pacquiao fights, collide with Rashad Holloway in an 8-round super lightweight bout, while Mepranum faces Anthony Villareal, also in 8 rounds in the flyweight division.
