Gorres, ALA Boys in card of the year, Oct. 29

PhilBoxing.com

In winner-takes-all fashion, four promising ALA boys put on the line their fistic careers when they trade bombs with their equally dangerous foes in a blockbuster card of international boxing promoter Sammy ‘Don King’ Gello-ani on October 29 at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

Leading the charge among the ALA stalwarts is OPBF superflyweight mandatory challenger Z "The Dream" Gorres who will see action in an elimination bout with Bangkok's Wisanu Pornobnum who is currently the WBO No. 1 superfly top contender. The winner will get to fight current champion Masayuki Arinaga of Japan.

In what could probably be his most defining fight to date, RP no. 1 minifly Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes takes a bold step when he climbs the ring to tangle with former WBC International minifly champion Armand dela Cruz of Guindulman, Bohol.

Nietes, the 23-year-old Cebu-based Ilonggo from Murcia, Bacolod City, is a slippery technical fighter who struts an enviable 15-1-3 win-loss-draw fight record with 10 KOs in 19 fights since starting his pro career in 2003.

De la Cruz, for his part, is a former WBC World Youth and WBC International mini-flyweight champion, having defeated Sarikalek Ekarin of Thailand and Ernesto Rubillar of the Philippines, respectively. He boasts of a fearsome 17-6-2 win-loss-draw fight record with 6

In another stellar attraction, newly-minted ALA boy and crowd-pleaser Robert Allanic tries to break into the top ten ratings when he trades blows with former WBO title challenger Roy Doliguez of the Elorde Stable of Manila.

Completing the cast of the ALA boys acid test is the explosive match-up between two do-or-die brawlers, Rollen del Castillo of the ALA Stable and Alex Aroy of the dreaded Wakee Salud boxing camp.

A vicious and bloody encounter awaits the discriminating Cebuano boxing fans when these two warriors, del Castillo and Aroy collide in this forthcoming boxing extravaganza.

“The ALA boys are in for a tough night when they meet their equal. These matches will surely delight the public’s thirst for action,” assures promoter Gello-ani.

Tickets are reasonably priced at: Php 100.00 – General Admiision, Php 150.00 – Lower Seat, Php 250.00 – Ringside and Php 500.00 – VIP/Sponsor.
