WBO CONTINUES TO MAKE HEADWAY IN ASIA!

BANGKOK--After the successful staging of David Tua's dual WBO regional title defenses yesterday, action shifts to this city as the WBO promotes its first ever female world title bout in Asia.
It will be an exciting showdown between two young lady warriors as OneSongchai Promotions presents Thai prospect Teeraporn Pannimit tomorrow against unbeaten Eun-Young Huh for the vacant WBO female minimumweight championship in Ayutthaya City, Thailand's old capital which is some two hours off busy Bangkok.
"This will be a first for the WBO in Asia to present a female world championship. This shows how committed we are to developing the WBO in this part of the world," said WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo, who personally supervised the David Tua-Friday Ahunanya showdown and a few hours from now, the Pannimit-Huh world title duel.
The Tua-Ahunanya bout was actually for two WBO regional titles--the Asia Pacific and Oriental heavyweight crowns.
The WBO Asia Pacific has also lined up other bouts this year not just in Thailand and New Zealand, but also in the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and other countries.
