'COLLISION AT THE COLISEUM' FIGHT PHOTOS By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Mon, 21 Jul 2008 Cebu City (Updated Story) -- The main protagonists during last Saturday's 'Collision at the Coliseum' boxing event held at the Cebu Coliseum here all won their bouts but in different routes. Ciso 'Kid Terrible' Morales engaged in a tactical fight against Narongnoi Or Muangklang of Thailand in the first nine rounds and piled up points in his favor with effective counter-punching and combinations but hold on for dear life when he lost steam in the last three rounds as Muangklang changed to a bullying tactic that nearly cost Morales the fight and the WBO Oriental super bantam title. The judges' scores were 116-112, 115-113 and 118-110 all in Morales' favor. Morales has now improved to 12-0 with 7KOs while Muangklang got his second loss in 11 starts. Ranee 'The KO Kid' Ganoy lived up to his billing by impressively knocking out Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat in the second round to book a trip to the United States where he is set to campaign against the world's best lightweights. Ganoy has improved his record to 25-10-0 with 21KOs. Sakaorat has dropped to 13-5-0. Meanwhile Bert 'Ninja' Batawang got a technical decision win in the 6th round after the referee stopped the contest upon the recommendation by the ring physician when Batawang was accidentally near his right eye by a headbutt inflected by Benjie Sorolla and declared unfit to continue. Promising prospects Balweg 'Davao Hitman' Bangoyan and Marvelous Marvin Sonsona did not fail their supporters as they logged in impressive knockout victories. Bangoyan made short work of Phil Ancamor of Cagayan de Oro City and he sent Ancamor to the canvas for good with a one punch in the second round. Sonsona finally stopped the game and tough Jerome Bontog in the fifth round of their six round contest after the referee did not bother to count after Bontog's third knockdown of the night.
