Eagle of the Mountain slated Aug. 20-21 in Davao

THE exciting Eagle of the Mountain Road Bike and Mountain Bike Challenge will be held on August 20 and 21 at the Eden in Toril this city.
“We will again hold the Eagle of the Mountain challenge,” said organizer Jose Ingan-en of Davao City Cycling.
The road race challenge is set for August 20 while the MTB is on August 21.
The champion in the Open Elite category of the Road Bike will win P4,000 while the second placer will get P3,000.
The third will receive P2,000, fourth P1,000 and fifth P500.
In the 23 Under, the champion will get P3,000, 2nd – P2,000, 3rd – P1,000 and the 4th and 5th will both get P500.
The Ladies Open,16 and Below, Executive 40-49, 50-59, Senior 60 and above will get 1st – P2,000, 2nd –P1,000, 3rd – P700, 4th & 5th – P500.
The champion in the Fixie will get P1,500. The second will receive P1,000, 3rd P500, 4th and 5th P300.
Meanwhile, the champion in the Open Elite of MTB will get P3,000 while the 2nd P2,000, 3rd P1,000, 4th and 5th both P500.
The other categories Ladies Open, 16 and below, 23 under, 30-39, 40-49 and 50 and up will get P2,000, P2,500, P1,000, P500 and P500.
“The top 20 finishers in the fun ride will receive medals,” said Ingan-en.
The two-day event is part of the 37th Kadayawan Festival.
