Two of the biggest team events in the world of nineball are just around the corner – the Reyes Cup in Manila and the Mosconi Cup in London – and the race for qualification is officially underway through the World Nineball Tour. Reyes Cup | 16-19 October 2025 The Reyes Cup will return to the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, where Team Asia will defend the title for the first time against the new Team Rest of the World in a thrilling transcontinental clash of nineball’s elite. To accommodate the creation of Team Rest of the World, the World Nineball Tour has adapted its qualification criteria for 2025, ensuring the fairest selection for this exciting new line-up. Team Rest of the World qualification: • Highest-ranked European player • Highest-ranked American player • Two captain’s picks • One additional WNT Pro wildcard Team Asia qualification: • Highest-ranked player from the Philippines (host nation) • Highest-ranked non-Philippines Asian player • Two captain’s picks • One additional WNT Pro wildcard Qualification Cut Off: WNT Rankings immediately following the 2025 Hanoi Open Pool Championship (7-12 October). Both sides will also have a non-playing captain, to be announced soon. Following a dramatic inaugural Reyes Cup in 2024, the 2025 edition promises another unforgettable showdown, with the stakes even higher as Team Rest of the World looks to steal the crown from Team Asia. Mosconi Cup | 3-6 December 2025 The legendary Mosconi Cup returns this December to Alexandra Palace, London, bringing pool’s fiercest rivalry back to centre stage as Team Europe and Team USA battle for the iconic trophy. Five-player teams: Each line-up will feature five players, including two playing captains – one for Europe, one for the USA – who will be announced soon. Top three qualifiers: The World Nineball Tour rankings will determine the automatic qualifiers, with the cut-off coming after the Philippines Open Pool Championship (21-26 October). Wildcard picks: Each team will feature one Playing Captain (if the captain qualifies through rankings, they become a Captain’s Pick) and one WNT Pro. With Europe aiming to extend its dominance and the USA eager to reclaim glory, the road to the Mosconi Cup promises to be as dramatic as the event itself.
