By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Mon, 17 Dec 2007
Lightweight Jun Paderna who is now fighting in Australia has scored a unanimous decision over Cameroon fighter Eric Anaba in Leumeah, New South Wales.
However, Arnel Balicuatro fighting as a light welterweight suffered his seventh straight defeat and his first career stoppage when he lost by a fourth round TKO to 24 year old Steve Casserley who was making his pro debut.
With his win in a four round bout, Paderna improved to 9-8-1 with 4 knockouts. The three judges Anthony Shipley 40-35, Des Bloyd 40-34 and Bernie McMahon 40-35 had the Filipino winning by a shutout while Anaba fell to 1-3-2 with no knockouts.
Paderna figured in a second round technical draw against Sedat Tasci last November 23 but before that on October 20 lost by a first round TKO to promising, undefeated William Kickett who had a record of 6-0 with 3 knockouts.
Anaba, on the other hand, was coming off a six round unanimous decision loss to Filipino Ruben Santillanosa.
