Round Rock, Texas:- Today at the giant show room of the Central Texas Acura car dealership, a few miles from the Sleep Inn and Suites, the official hotel of the Roy Jones Jr Promotions, the weigh-in for the fighters involved at a fight card on Saturday December 8, 2017 was official done.
Aston Palicte of Cebu stepped on the scales and registered 115 lbs. Jose Alfredo Rodriguez of Mexico on the other hand came in at 113.7 lbs. Obviously, the folks at RJJ Promotions were pleased because as the saying goes- ?now we have a fight!?
Palicte will be defending his NABF super flyweight against Rodriguez the belt he won at a fight card under The Tent at Downtown Las Vegas where he beat Oscar Cantu of Texas via a hard fought split decision.
Jos? Alfredo Rodr?guez? (32-5-0, 19KO) held the?WBA light flyweight?interim title?from 2011 to 2012. He is known amongst Filipino fight fans as the fighter that lost to Milan Melindo for the WBO International Super flyweight belt and lately to Jerwin Ancajas for the IBF Super Flyweight title.
The Palicte-Rodriguez title fight will be held at the Round Rock Sports Center along Chisholm Trail Road in this city. It will be shown live on beINSports TV. The fight card is a promotion of Roy Jones Jr Promotions.
