For tomorrow's battle, which is in the featherweight division, Gomera trained with head coach JJ Jorda at the high altitude boxing facility of Highland Boxing Gym in Benguet Province in the Philippines. Meanwhile, the Korean titlist Nam-Joon Lee (9-5-3, 4 KO's), with more height and reach than the strong Filipino, has been two-time South Korean 126-pounder champ, looked confident and in really topform. Lee's last combat was a technical decision victory over South Korean Compatriot Sa Miung Noh who suffered a severe cut on his left eye, for which fight got stopped in round 7. The WBA Asia card Saturday in Suncheon is a production of Korea Promotions to be broadcast live on open TV throughout South Korea on MBC Sport Channel. The live telecast is scheduled to begin at exactly 15:00 KST Korea Standard Time (GMT +9). ![]() Photo: Posing L to R: Jelbirt Gomera, Won Kim of WBA Asia and Nam-Joo Lee Click here to view a list of other articles written by Carlos Costa. ![]() |
